ABC Baby Furniture was officially launched in September of 2008 as a new entity to the already existing Tracy’s Threads. As an online store with a warehouse location and a showroom in Valencia, California, ABC Baby Furniture is a family business with potential to grow. Tracy’s Threads started as an eBay store in April of 2005 specializing in personalized baby blankets and other handmade baby gifts. As business started to pick up, Tracy Joost (the founder of Tracy’s Threads and ABC Baby Furniture) searched for another product that would increase business. She found that baby cribs are the most searched for baby item on the internet. Soon she found a company called the American Furniture Group (AFG), a manufacturer that sells their furniture wholesale to individual merchants. The cribs started to sell right away and business started to increase. As feedback from satisfied costumers started to get over 100, business started to increase. Over time more and more people wanted to pick up their cribs to avoid shipping costs and the Joost family garage became a regular warehouse. Then ABC Baby Furniture was born as a web site independent of eBay including a warehouse location for local pick up and shopping.
